This is the first Walking Dead episode where we don't see any sign of Rick and the group. Andrea and Michonne come across a downed helicopter and a new group of survivors. The Governor greets them into Woodbury, but Michonne doesn't trust him or the idilic environment he's created. She might be justified in her opinion, because we see the Governor take some questionable actions.

This is a big change compared to season 2. There is still some character development, and we see Rick and Lori's relationship taking a nosedive.
The group reaches the prison which was pictured in the season 2 finale, and we get a glimpse of the relationship which has grown between Michonne and Andrea.
